Boot Camp day #12

I can't even look at you guys anymore. Feeding me bullshit. Go home... I want to.
Our final project is to plan an IMRT prostate and move it to treatment. Me? I'm not a dosimetrist. I won't ever plan a treatment in my life, mush less IMRT. Optimize. What? I drudge through it and get it to treatment, but stumble on the prescription and throw-in the towel. I gather my things, storm out of the classroom and arrive in the parking lot of 120 degree heat. I find a suitable car, break the driver's side window out, hot-wire the grey 2000 Mustang with custom exhaust and a hood scoop and tear the hell outta there. I get back to the hotel, ditch the car, eat a blueberry yogurt, call my wife because we're expecting more of her family to arrive as they attempt to flee Houston from yet another big-ass hurricane, this named Rita. If "W" screws this up I be up in his ugly-ass face. As much I say I hate Houston and would never live there again I would hate to see anything disastrous happen to it. The tragedy of New Orleans has really made me feel more empathetic towards peoples plight and misfortune. I think I gave a total of $200 in money and donations for the Katrina relief. My brother and sister-in-law were in traffic for like 15 hours. My friends parents are sitting in it traffic last I heard.
After talking on the phone I go work-out to Underworld's Beaucoup Fish. This albums tempo and hard-hitting beats are great for working-out. The thing with Underworld is that they mix upbeat dance tracks with more symphonic interludes, I desire a little more consistency in tempo so I switch to Lo-Fidelity All-Stars How to Operate with a Blown Mind. I must be in an electronic music mood today, both bands from the UK no less.
My wife calls me again to ask me to call our neighbor to borrow some of his driveway space for we are to have about 12 more people at our home to escape the hurricane, and she informs me her sister-in-law has finally arrived. I make a couple calls to round-up people to go eat and we decide to head back to New York New York because one of us wants to try the martinis there that everyone has been raving about. We eat at Il Fornaio which I'm less than enthusiastic about since I don't eat pasta. I find in the menu a beef tenderloin with spinach and potatoes dish that ROCKS! The beef is cooked to my liking (med. rare...cool center) and the sauce they use at first reminds me of a glorified A-1, but after a couple succulent pieces I find it is more complex than A-1 and has a slightly more intense twang to it, a twang that really wakes-up the tongue. And the pre-cut pieces are splayed-out evenly and in a arching fashion. The spinach was just about perfect if not in need of a little salt. I didn't eat the potatoes. My co-worker ordered the Capaccio which is raw shaved beef, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and capers. I try some of the raw beef and it's good as well. I don't feel too comfortable eating raw beef. I'll let you know if I get worms.
Going to the casinos is quite boring after 2 weeks, so I walk around the strip and take some last photos of Las Vegas. The batteries in my camera die prematurely and go inside M&M World to get some personalized M&Ms for my son which I can't buy there, but online instead, that store is 4 levels of M&M merch and candies. The second level smells intensely of chocolate...mmmmmmmmmm&m.
I return to the casino to see who wants to go back to the hotel with me and take off.
Oh, check this out...I was waiting for a couple of my co-workers with another guy and we see this strange streak of light rise up over the mountains to the west. The object is just a speck, but it leaves a trail of light behind it, a very intense light that does not fade like smoke. Then a large cone which looks like light dust/vapor forms behind the object and grows quickly as the object continues to streak across the sky, so I grab my digital camera and take few photos (I'll post the pics here soon). The object and cone of light disappear, but the streak of light hangs in the sky for like 10min. slowly becoming waving from what I can assume is the wind blowing it. I'm really into UFOs and alien abduction so seeing this was very exciting. It was truely amazing to witness. I hope my photos come out clear.
