Boot Camp day #8

I believe this would be Sunday. Yesterday I left Red Rock enchanted and determined to return, so today I do. I had to borrow a car which came with a companion. Today I see there many more people crawling all over the visitors area and there are people actually climbing the mountain. Yeah, you have free-reign on the mount and that's crazy because I don't think a lot of these people have mountain climbing experience. I'm shocked to see small children climbing around on the edges overlooking 20ft deep crevaces. I see a tiny figure atop the mountain and wonder how that figure got there. Well, I decide I want to join in the rock climbing fun and head down the trail for the base. Immediately you realize this mountain is larger than you think when standing at a distance. I find it's not that difficult to scale the large rocks becuse the surface is like coarse sandpaper, I had barely scraped my knee scaling a 200 ft vertical wall and that took the skin right off and I realize that I'm not half-bad at rock climbing...on a very small scale that is. I also find I can only make it half-way up the moutain and can't figure out how 2 kids whiz past me and 20 minutes later they're staring down at me from hundreds of feet above. We spent 2 hours out there in wonder and I took a few pictures of lizards and head back to the hotel.
Later I join Diane and Nancy in the lobby and they tell me they want to eat at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. I don't know much about his music, but Toby Keith can cook a mean steak. Hell, I didn't even know that guy was a cook. Maybe he's not a professional cook, like maybe his mother or uuncle passed some recipes down to him. You know, I guess any famous person can open a business on their name alone. I don't think Beck or Thom York would do very well with a restaraunt, but you never know. I mean, how does Toby find time to tour and write songs if he's in Vegas all the time cooking my steak? I tell ya though, the 1" thick steak was a bit tough, but the flavor was awesome, a sauce made from the drippings allowed the steak to soak it in. The greens were very good as well with bits of bacon in them. And the cole slaw was cold, crisp and flavorful. His okra sucks though.
That does is for me, I'm full of steak, cole slaw, collard greens and some chicken breast, I'm also a pig.
After dinner we decide to call it a night.
